Temporary Restaurants & Farmers Markets
Food Booth Guidelines
If you are planning on operating a temporary food booth, Oregon Department of Human Services has developed a booklet to help you in setting up and operating your food booth.
Commercial License
Operating a temporary food booth requires a license for each event. If you are a for-profit business, a license application is available for your commercial temporary restaurant.
Intermittent (30 day) and Seasonal (90) day Licenses
If your temporary food booth is operating at a specific location with the same menu, you may apply for an Intermittent (same location, different oversight organization) or Seasonal (same location and oversight organization) License. An Operational Review Application must be submitted to obtain the license. If you have already completed the Operational Review, and are not making any changes to your operation, you may submit a renewal application.
Non-Profit Organization License
Operating a benevolent temporary food booth requires a license for each event. Multiple events can be included in one application. If you are a tax-exempt organization, you will need a license application and a baked goods sign for your benevolent temporary restaurant.
Farmer's Market Guidelines
Oregon Department of Agriculture has developed a booklet for businesses operating at Farmer's Markets in Oregon.
